Our Track Record of Partnership and Project Implementation

St. Mary Theresa Catholic Hospital has been a regular beneficiary of the benevolence of several individuals and institutions from Holland and Germany.

 In the past 15 years, the German Rotary Volunteer Doctors (GRVD) have supported greatly. Together, we have implemented the Pentangular Project since 2008.  The objective of the project was to refurbish and re-equip the Mary Theresa Hospital. 

The key project activities were:

  • Rebuilding the operating theatre
  • Providing a new power plant
  • Building a new water purification plant
  • Supply of medical equipment
  • Training of staff in priority areas

The project has achieved most of its objectives and the relationship with the GRVD partners has remained mutual. The West wing of the hospital’s fence wall was built by the German Rotary Volunteer Doctors as a supplement to the Pentangular Project
